Pahana - Possible Time Traveler ?

One 'myth' I find to be interesting relative to a possible time traveler is the Hopi's account of a man they call(ed) Pahana.

Pahana = Lost White Brother. The Hopi claim that Pahana will return again (?) and at his coming, the Fourth World will end, and a new age, the Fifth World, will begin.

Looking at what Pahana said to the Hopi elders in the past - whoever Pahana might be - indicates approx. when he leaves to make the journey through time.

The following is what Pahana told the Hopi elders as Prophecies :

1) We are told of the coming of the white-skinned men, like Pahana, but not living like Pahana. Men that will take the land that is not thiers. And men who strike their enemies with thunder.

2) Our lands will see the coming of spinning wheels filled with voices.

3) A strange beast like a buffalo, but with great long-horns will overrun the land in large numbers.

4) The land will be crossed by snakes of iron

5) The land shall be crisscrossed by a giant pider's web.

6) The land shall be crisscrossed with rivers of stone that make pictures in the sun.

7) You will hear of the sea turing black, and many living things dying because of it.

8) You will see many youth, who wear their hair long, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their ways and wisdom.

9) You will hear of a dwelling place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.

The only "prophecy" that seems to be yet fulfilled, is No. 9. With the discussions now taking place regarding the abandonment of the International Space Station, is it possible to determine what time frame Pahana might be living within, and also be able to determine an approx. time of when he leaves ?

From what Pahana said, doesn't seem to be that far off from our time period.

Even if Pahana isn't a time traveler, also raises the question as to who he was, if not from the future, where did he come from ?

There are stories of Templars who explored the North American continent, and there is a cross on the Hopi Prophecy Rock...so, if Pahana was a wandering Templar, how would he (of the Templar era) know about the Prophecies that he told the Hopi elders ?

The problem with this "myth" is that it is not ancient Hopi teaching. It is taken from "The Book of the Hopi" (1963) authored by a caucasian named Frank Waters. Waters claims that another caucasian, David Young. picked up a Hopi hitchhiker in 1958, White Feather, who related to him the story of the above "prophesy". In 1959 Young made a mimeograph manuscript of the interview and circulated it in his church. Waters disovered the mimeograph and published parts of it in his book.

That was 1958, not 1458, 1558 or 1658 - 1958, 100 years after the era covered by the prophesy should one assume that "snakes of iron" and "spider-webs" are railroads and highways. It's somewhat easier to make correct predictions after the predicted events have occurred.

And, as told in the book, White Feather would be conveniently dead in 1963. No witnesses to interview to confirm that the event described was not entirely fictional as to White Feather's purported comments or that David Young and/or Frank Waters didn't fictionalize the entire event.

Also note that the entire conversation with White Feather took place in Young's car over a period of just a few minutes. Unless Young conveniently had a tape recorder handy in his car (and in 1958 they were the size of a small suitcase) or just happened to have a stenographer riding along with, him how the hell did he recall verbatim the entire conversation?

This doesn't pass the smell test.

Hopi Prophecy

Yup...typical reponse from anyone that skims through Google and clicks into the first few options that appear. However, there are some people that dig deeper and take the time to research for other possble sources for the presented information.

The prophecies as listed in my first post of this thread are merely a compliation. Each one of them are scattered through-out numerous myths and legends of Native American (mostly Hopi) origin. Seems that either Young or Waters simply made the minimal compilation of or got their hands on a simpler list.

Nice little tweak in your reply relative to the linked version of the Hopi/Pahana Prophecies. The mention of "a few minutes" was in reference to when White Feather got into the car, and after "a few minutes", began to speak. Doesn't say anywhere that the man spent only "a few minutes" IN the car - that is merely an assumption on your part.

I was told that I should go to a Hopi tribe soon. Don't know if this has anything to do with it but it's just kind of weird that someone mentioned that to me and I found you talking about this. Maybe just a coincidence?

I shall try to state it as a great man I know would; "Taking into account the wondrous events of the past that coalesced into the present and taking into consideration that each of these events had been most verily and undeniably carefully planned by an unknown, yet beneficial higher intelligence there is no reason whatsoever to ever believe in coincidences.

So...there are no coincidences Skarpz, it was mentioned because you needed to hear it, it was written here because you needed a confirmation. Two events occurring at separate times and from separate people, yet they have an impact on you most serious. That is what I call synchronicity.
