And remember, even if someone encourages you to post inappropriate content, you will still be held accountable. Do not let other users trick you into breaking the rules.

On Topic Discussion

If you want to start a thread, make sure to choose the most relevant forum section for your topic. Not only will posting in the wrong section make your topic harder to find, but it may cause your thread to be moved or removed. If you are replying to a thread, make sure your reply contributes to the topic. Off topic posts not only ruin a good thread but are grounds for post removal.

Please note that the Off-Topic section is available to discuss topics that are not directly related to the other sections in the Time Travel Institute Forum. The section cannot be used for spam, abusing the post count or rating system, or doing anything that would otherwise violate the rules or Terms of Service.

Spamming is not tolerated in the forum. Spamming includes posting the same post multiple times in the forum, repeatedly posting on the same topic in different threads, posting the same post in multiple sections, or posting repeatedly without actually contributing to a topic.

Multiple posts, whether in the same section or different sections, action will be taken as spam.

Thread Bumping

Posting messages with irrelevant content for the sole purpose of keeping certain posts near the top is called "bumping". Thread bumping is prohibited in the forum. It causes other posts to scroll off the page faster than they should, and raises forum traffic unnecessarily. Threads will be bumped up naturally if users have reason to contribute to them. If you have a question or issue that is not being addressed, make sure you contact a moderator to assist you.

Personal Information

Personal information is information that can be used to identify a person or contact him or her either on or off-line. It is a violation of our rules to post someone else's personal information. Furthermore, use caution when posting your own personal information. If someone requests your personal information (including contact information), consider that the person may not be who you think they are and may not have your best interests in mind. It's important to use good judgment and discretion to ensure all participants' privacy is protected.

Any actions taken by members off-line are also the sole responsibility of the individual members, the administration assumes no responsibility if any members reveal personal information to other members.

There is a privacy policy link at the bottom of the Forum page. For questions regarding the privacy policy of Time Travel Institute, use the link.

The purpose of the forum is for discussion. As such, it should not be used to advertise, promote, or drive traffic to another site or notify users of a promotion or contest not approved by the Time Travel Institute staff. If you have relevant news or fan site link that contributes to a discussion, this will not likely be seen as advertising. If you are in doubt, ask a moderator.

Post Language

Our forum currently only supports English-language posts. Posts in other languages may be removed.

Inappropriate Posts/Threads

If you see a post that you think is inappropriate or possibly in violation of the Terms of Service, make sure to contact the Moderators. This will bring the post to the attention of the Administration who can remove inappropriate posts and action accounts as necessary to keep our community safe and productive for everyone.

Copyrighted Material

The use of copyrighted materials should be done so with express permission from the copyright holder. If it is brought to the attention of the Administration of Time Travel Institute that any violations of the copyright laws have occurred, the posts containing any such material will be deleted.

Multiple Accounts

Multiple accounts cannot be used to force thread activity or otherwise abuse any of the forum systems. If a second account is used to get around an account action, all related accounts may be removed . If you have an inquiry about a suspension or ban, make sure to contact the Moderators or the MOP to assist you. The Administration team will not give you account information about an account that does not belong to you.

Posting through a proxy will get a user banned and the IP address blocked at the server level.

Changing a Name or Moving Forum Stats

It is not possible for the Administration to change your screen name, post count, or rating.

Disputes and Debates

Show respect to others. Use constructive criticism, rather than being abusive.

If both sides have comparable evidence, split the topic and describe both sides.

Staff can intervene to enforce the above rules. If the staff decisions are not adhered to, posting privileges can be revoked with or without notice.

If you feel you've been unfairly banned or targeted, then you may appeal to the MOP directly. The MOP's e-mail address is webmaster at this domain.
