"The future ain't what it used to be."

"Sound of My Voice" movie takes a page from John Titor's story.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that a sequel was being considered. I hope so, as there were far too many unanswered questions.

A sequel? Given Brit Marling's history, a sequel is doubtful. But I'd be pleasantly surprised, I think, if she agreed to that undertaking. That movie left me "feelin' some kinda way". Thank you Florida_Jim.

I must admit it was wrong of me to make such an assumption. When I saw her performance in a movie titled Another Earth, starring opposite William Mapother, I was left feeling as though it's ending left me with more questions than answers. I enjoyed both films immensely. I sincerely hope to see a sequel to Sound of my Voice. Another time travel story I enjoyed was a book titled 11/22/63 authored by Stephen King. I couldn't put it down!

Yes, I've enjoyed all the films I've seen Brit star in (The East, Sound of my voice and Another Earth). The concept/premise of Another Earth was really good, imo, but the film fell flat somewhere along the line. I first heard of Brit Marling due to her first documentary she made, Boxers & Ballerinas. I quite enjoyed it, her film making style was quite innotative at the time, and it wasn't your usual, conventional type of documentary film.

Here is a link to Brit and Zal briefly mentioning about "Sound of my voice" being initially conceived as part of a Trilogy:

You and Brit have talked about the idea of marking this a trilogy, and obviously you've moved on to your next film [The East], but is that something you're still thinking about?
Yeah, to make Sound of My Voice we had to conceive the entire world, and understand it holistically. If you want to show less in a movie, you've got to figure out more. If audiences respond to Sound of My Voice, whether now or it gains a following later, we'd love to continue it as a trilogy, or on TV or whatever it is.

But as a filmmaker who's just establishing himself, you move on to another film with more famous actors and a bigger budget, its it a big commitment to say you're going keep returning to this thing that made your name, without taking like a Spider-Man job, or some big leap?
I wish I thought like that. The Sound of My Voice story just keeps getting better and better I think. The end of the third act would be something people would be talking about.
