(Fictionally speaking) I like to think that this pic was taken during the Chinese Boxer Rebellion of 1898, or perhaps just before the 1215 signing of the Magna Carta.

The dress screams steam punk to me so she must be from the Victorian era! There's something so elegantly gothic about this whole outfit, a typical quality among the female population during Queen Victoria's reign.

I want this. Gonna wear shorts underneath though in case of wind.

And then I want Doc Brown's train from BTTF3.

You can pull it off. I wouldn't be able to button it. LOL!

This is really well made! As xTinx has stated, I think she dates from the Victorian era looking at the dress!

Very ellegant!

Steam punk novels which have babbage machines in them are cool. If babbage had managed to design his machine so it could take parts which did not require as much precision, it would have made the machine commercially viable. Instead of working on making smaller transistors, we might have been working on making smaller gears. They have now made gears and wheels which are only atoms thick, so theoretically a babbage machine could fit inside of a cell phone.

Anyway cool pic.

I thought I recognized the woman in the picture at the beginning of this post. She was a time traveler in the TV show called Primeval. She plays the role of Emily in the 4th season. Emily's real name is Ruth Bradley.

Definitely was smitten by this photograph. Love photography myself, but, have an old 6 mega-pix camera. Been experimenting with what I now call Retro Photography. I didn't take the picture of the young lady , but the following photo is all me.
