Gil and Inez go to Paris as a side excursion on her parents’ business trip. Gil is a successful Hollywood writer who is having difficulty finishing his debut novel. He falls in love with the city and believes he and Inez should settle there once they marry, but Inez does not share his romantic ideals of the city or the notion that the 1920s were the golden age. When Inez goes out dancing with her friends, Gil goes for a nocturnal walk and uncovers what could be the ultimate source of creative inspiration. Gil’s daily midnight walks in Paris may bring him closer to the city’s heart but further away from the woman he is going to marry.
