Aboard the day James T. Kirk is born, his father dies on his damaged starship in a desperate struggle against a Romulan mining vessel seeking for Ambassador Spock, who has grown up on Vulcan and is despised by his neighbors due to his half-human parentage. After 25 years, James T. Kirk has matured into a young rebellious troublemaker. Captain Christopher Pike challenges him to reach his potential in Starfleet, and he comes to anger academy professors such as Commander Spock. The newly-commissioned USS Enterprise is crewed with promising cadets like Nyota Uhura, Hikaru Sulu, Pavel Chekov, and even Kirk himself, owing to Leonard McCoy’s medical trickery. This crew will embark on an adventure in the final frontier, where the old legend will be eternally transformed as a new version of the legend begins.
