A ball of light descending into the backyard tree line

A bit long read, hope it’s interesting, I reduced it sooo much. Only hope it was enough!

My dad calls, doesn’t say why, just “I need you to come right now!” I walk over as I am tucking my phone in my pocket & look up, I notice a ball of light just outside my back yard & barely coming down inside that tree line!

It is literally 4~5pm/middle of the summer & daylight/sunny, this thing looks bright as the sun/hell… even just like the sun, & if I had to guess, the ball light itself was from my closest view “a foot round?” but it also had a halo of light around that light almost as bright, but fading off slowly, that was maybe 18 inches out & around it, so if added on to the center 12, then 6 more, 18 inch total as one sphere of light.

I notice it isn’t making any sound & my dads roommate is parked in the driveway… smokin “them weeds” as you “young~ins” might just… calls it!

It is maybe five feet above the pines in my back yard when I first noticed it coming down & about 7 feet back into the trees once low enough, & was descending slowly like a feather “no swaying back & forth though”

I get to his car, & he is closest to me, rolls his window down more, it has descending to the tops of trees, I point it out! I would say it is about 25~30 steps away once descended completely, if even that far?

He has to look through the passenger side & duck slightly to see it just yet, he asks me “what the hell is that” really freaking right out & starts opening his door into me while staring at it, he hits my knee forgetting… I am in the way, & right there!

I say “Owww! (rub my knee) I don’t know, but my dad just called & I have to go make sure he’s alright & help as quick as I can, I’ll be right back out & get closer to check for myself!

I ask him to relax & just watch it for me, let me know if anything, what happens… while I’m gone!” he apologizes about my knee & closes the car door & say’s ok… if it doesn’t do anything crazy, I’ll just stay & watch!

By the time this all took place, it had sunk till a couple feet above the ground & just hovered there inside the tree line!

I run in… trying to look as long as I can & quickly take care of my dad!

He asks “what’s the emergency & all this running for”, I holler “tell you later” & run right back out the door!

I see his roommate sitting in the car “just looking down in front of him”, I get past the house look left & nothing is there anymore. I am all like “Noooo!” I look back at him & yell confused, as I am running up to his window “What happened to it, where did it go?!!”

I realize he is out, as I looking back at him after checking around more while getting closer… because once i am at his window, he snorts himself awake & seems confused!

I ask him again (his name) “What happened to the ball of light, where did it go!?!” He looks around a bit more, & asks “what I am talking about”

I say “You got to be kidding me bud??! I wasn’t even gone for a couple, few minutes… at most?” & “How could you possibly go, from being afraid, to passed out… in such a short time?”

He has no clue what I am even talking about & seems out of it, still!

All I can think is… Fuuuck!, noooo!?? I should have just gone up to it to look closer first & then, if I was still around afterward, :innocent: … then took care of my dad!

One odd thing I noticed was… as it was coming into the tress, Nothing!!!… was being lit by it… at all, as if “God~Rays/dynamic lighting” were/was turned off? That’s the best example I can give!

This wouldn’t be the first time I saw an object “just like this one” almost as close up & with almost the exact same properties… except it had an extra one!

Part 2

It is some years later than my other story, I’m on my way home from work, it’s late… around midnight & winter, not snowing though, but moonlit.

I am coming up to this road slower than I would in summer & passing the trees after the road leading down to by the water, at this point it would take 10 to 12 second to pass by seeing into it all of the drop off & water area, going the speed limit… something catches my eye, it’s a ball of light, almost the same size as before but further away, it’s descending into this area almost twice, maybe 3 times as fast as the other one I seen, & is in the center of this body of water, down a 50 foot steep embankment from nearly all side & it just hovers there maybe fifteen feet above the water.

I do not notice it lighting up anything around it through it is very bright, but before I can be sure, I am hit with an extreme blindingly sharp… white light, coming from it, being directed in my eyes.

I am nearly blinded by it, I slow down more than I am already going, it is following my eyes perfectly as if a spot light… but way brighter than I have ever seen from them/spot~lights & it’s just beating on my face & in my eyes, it IS winter out thus cold & my heat is on only low… enough to keep it above cold & yet… my face is getting warm now, & my eyes hurt almost like the time I accidentally looked into a solar eclipse, as the moon reached final edge of the sun & … eclipsed totally.

I put up my hand up… palm away from my face, to cover my eyes some, while still trying to stay on the road with my left hand driving & trying to steal glances around & in~between my fingers to see it.

This thing is just nailing me perfectly with it’s intensely white light somehow… my hand is getting warm from it too, as I notice my hand is getting warm on my palm, I look at my hand, I can almost see the bones in my hands well & around them the pink of the meat, as if this light was pressed directly against my palm, I feel like my hand isn’t really helping block the light, just the heat of it on my eyes & face somewhat, I am past the halfway point, & yet it’s like the light is shining through my hand & side/back of head into/onto my eyes still?

I don’t understand how any light can do this, I get passed the drop off of the other side & the earth blocks from seeing down on into the “pit” & water, if… I was looking back still, then… the light is just gone, all of it.
