In northern Italy’s Aosta Valley, a 22-year-old French woman’s body was discovered in an abandoned church, sparking a complex police investigation. The victim, from near Lyon, had reportedly been on a quest for a haunted house and may have been participating in a TikTok ghost hunting competition. Described by witnesses as appearing “emaciated” and dressed “like vampires” with a male companion, she suffered fatal stabbings and post-mortem gunshot wounds. Police are exploring theories ranging from a consented murder to a social media stunt gone wrong, with no signs of struggle at the scene where items like pink marshmallows and groceries were found. The investigation also includes a search for a young man last seen with her and a mysterious burgundy van spotted nearby.
