Not sure if a biped would be the most efficient. What would be the purpose of a walker, other than to make it seem more human-like? I’d say a track base or wheel based model would be better.
I feel it would be a help if used correctly. If I spend more time/energy just making sure the bot did its job correctly, then it would be a hinderance. If I could “set it and forget it” then it would be a help. A threat? Not unless my bots main function was home security…then maybe.
There are already vaccuum cleaner bots, but not lawn mower bots…why? More risk with a spinning blade than a rotating brush I’d say.
If they plug themselves in to recharge, I want one just to see it do that. Wow.
It would only be a hinderance if it interrupted me when i working at home, called me at the office, had poor voice recognition, was high maintenance, misread my facial expressions, or broke my dishes.
There sure are, and they work great! I saw that Irobot.com recently came out with the companion (which I successfully predicted over a year ago) called the Scooba. It mops where Roomba sweeps. Pretty soon my house is gonna be a little commune of bots… and my dog is already getting scared with just Roomba!
