Forum classification labels and their meaning, a question

Why is this classified under non fiction?

Does this mean the story posted is non~fiction “in your opinion, or…in general”

Does it mean, that this is believed to be a false ability… over~all?

I am not quite sure why it received a non fiction status in post.

Why is non fiction in yellow also instead of blue “the colors mean something?”.

Do the classifications have an area to resolve what each one mean in all
“Like clicking on each one takes you to a definition for color & definitions”

Like if I click “video” it means, it is a… video “instead of a picture”

Note: really not trying to make a ton more work for you.

Fiction/nonfiction mostly just means to control the terminology used for scoring here:

On a fictional work, you’re gauging how well that entry makes use of the concepts within the story, how far it takes the idea.

With a nonfiction work, it’s more about how well it explains or furthers the concept.

Area 52 like to be cinematic but they’re presenting the information as documentary, so it gets the nonfiction label.

None of that’s a declaration that TTI thinks or presents it as true or to be believed though. It’s just a tag based on the presentation format. These labels and system overall are still experimental.

The overall idea though is that wherever a Work and a Subject intersect, you get a control to rank how well that thing handles the concept.

Whether it’s TRUE or not, in the case of nonfiction entries, is up to you guys. I’d like to add a way to let you guys rank that too, but working on getting the basics right first

Over time though, this is meant to help surface what the community considers the best ways to engage with or dig into those ideas, whatever the format.

makes sense thank you! :+1:

Of course not. I completely understand the warning on the tin.

Gotcha, & Thank you! :sparkling_heart: ~QS
