Hey Darby?!

I need your help if you would try to rationlize this for me? I got home a little bit ago, I am starting to hear differnt tones, I feel like I am at a hearing exam, they are closer/louder?, further away/quieter?, the tone changes, but not while it is playing, & so does the length, the tones play at differnt times normally not in a row, but… I did just hear one tone sound, then another started right as the other ended now. The tone length is like 3 seconds, somtimes up to 5~6 seconds long.

I have never heard anything like this except in hearing exams & maybe… flutes kinda, but more ear exam in natural & it is completely weirding me out.

I hope it stops soon! Nope, just heard another one, it is quiet except for my tapping on the keyboard. It sounds like it is coming from my left ear, until i turn my head so the right ear is in that direction, I can spatial tell it is coming from somewhere but I can not quite determine where… once I get closer?

A bow string!, for playing the violin on a long *SINGING saw, if you were *NOT moving *THE SAW while doing also, when I get close enough now, in my kitchen in the right spot when my head is around watse level, it sounds like its coming from around me!

It had been going on all night, when it is quiet.

It is no longer one tone, & then changing to another.

it is still a few seconds long & it is oscillating now, or modulating might be a better word, up & down, then up before gone. then with slightly different tones, but it’s like it is being honed.

I am starting to head headache from it, or the maybe, just the stress of not knowing & becoming annoyed.

I don’t know. Anyone… have any theories, I would like to try to find out & stop what is going on. Thanks for any help at figuring this out.

More context, most of you know I had a very extreme case of vertigo, what you may not know, I was working in a cooler, with three air cooler units in a long but small space & very narrow, the units were very old & something happened with one that I am sure of. They tore that cooler down & built a new one after. That is how serious they took what happened & just in case once i could work again, I was banned from working the new cooler just in case, because my hypersensitivity to certain sounds after.

Here is… the rest of the story, I was working in the cooler & I noticed I started to get dizzy, so I stoppped moving, & then leaned on the shelf at arm level, then needed to put my head down, after few more moments, I had to take a knee, then I was on both knees & needed to put my hands on the floor, the spinning just kept getting worse, next I was full splay on the floor, trying to hold on for dear life, from what felt like I was spinning so hard I swore i was getting ready to fly off the earth into a wall.

I knew whatever the unit was doing was making it worse & worse, I knew I had to get out, it was freezing in the unit, let alone on the floor, so I crawled out of the cooler on my belly, army crawl style, cause I couldn’t even stand again to walk without help & dry heaved for nealry 18 hours straight every few moments, till my stomach muscles were exhausted, it was hard to catch my breath, or even answer questions cause that meant i had to choose between breathing or wasting what little i could get.

I was completely dehydrated, they couldn’t get a vein to give me fluids, the hospital was barely able to help. It took months to get better. Now I am highly sensitive to certain frequencies & never what to go through that kind of vertigo again… So this would mean a lot to me, any guesses would help.

Final Update:

It’s an hour later, than I posted the last post, a very heavy duty sounding/powerful low flying helicopter just flew over “shook everything” & now that noise… is gone, I do not know what it did by doing that, but it helped, the sound is thankfully… finally gone!

My friend, you’re asking for me to guess and produce, that is by any definition, a medical opinion. I’m sorry but a medical opinion is way above my pay grade; I’m lacking a certain academic honorific generally called an MD. You need to call your personal physician and get an appointment for an exam and possibly a referral to an audiologist.

I appreciate, the advise, thank you. I am seeing doctors nurses & other staff, &… neurology, about the vertigo the pain sounds give.

I have had a battery of test, they can tell me nothing, still. Thankfully* <~~ “i’m kidding, of course”.

I knew I was asking a lot & for “hopefully not so wild” guessing*,

“So I could find it & beat it till death.”:joy: I’m only kidding… maybe :grimacing:

I know you are wise in many things, so I gave it a shot, I choose open… instead of private, in case this was something you didn’t want to dig into right away & so others could throw in thier thoughts “2cents”, if it went on too long, but thankfully… it didn’t.

I mentioned the kitchen to help with the what… maybe?

I mentioned it was spatial, so it was clear hopefully* & it was not just something coming from in my head.

I have thought much about it, the most I can conclude is pipes singing from under the floor?, or maybe the fridge i.e. something working in it “throwing it’s voice”?* & since the helicopter flying over caused the right vibrations? to shake loose? what was causing all of it, it is over finally.:folded_hands: :innocent:

I do understand that I was asking a lot. I am sorry for that, I will try to never do that again.

I do appreciate your reply, & humbly thank you Darby ~QS
