Morgellons???

I ran across an interesting topic today…Morgellons.

Seems the scientific community is really divided on this one? Anyone here have any experience or thoughts about it?

Apparently the fibers have a gene that only exists in plants???

I’ve seen everything being attributed from conspiracies (chemtrails, etc) to evolution, to agrobacterium created by accident through genetic engineering.

News stations have been doing some coverage…interesting stuff.

Here’s some links to reference;
*Preliminary findings suggest a link between Morgellons Disease and Agrobacterium, a soil bacterium extensively manipulated and used in making GM crops; has genetic engineering created a new epidemic? *

I’m not drawing any conclusions, but wow, seems odd for sure :confused:

I’d also like to add…if anyone ‘thinks’ they have this - I don’t mean to add fuel to the fire…

I just can’t figure out why major news stations would pick up on it - while admitting
half the science community is giving the people coming to them realization of their fears, while the other half is simply waving it off.

If we all realize that we have such things as ‘dust mites’ etc…you get the point…but if there is anything to it…I’m geniunely curious.

As for the people lumping it in with chemtrails, etc…that’s pretty ludicrous. Think about it, that would mean it would be highly transmissable, therefore quarantined.

Although I’m curious - everyone is thinking the worst…‘if’ it’s real, is there any possible benefit to this??? Evolution, genetic mutation through AGR, whatever…the one scientist noting it has a plant gene…makes me think of topics like photosynthesis, and cleaning toxins from the body…some parasites on other creatures do have a beneficial effect…

I wouldn’t be too quick to dismiss the chemtrail hypothesis or indeed any hypothesis that has been properly researched:

http://www.carnicom.com/contrails.htm

Now his entire premise may be wrong, but his observations, his lab results, his measurements and his quantifications are a lot less likely to be wrong. He is using as good scientific method as he is able to.

His site also lists the specific DARPA projects etc. that are the most likely culprits.

Interestingly NASA has also gone from denying chemtrails to turning reporting them into a game for child visitors to their websites… Ugh.

Even if morgellons are eventually proven to be lime disease and tick infestation or something unlikely pioneering efforts at observation- in the face of (originally) classic mindless debunking- is very much to be admired in my opinion. YMMV.

Apparently this condition is gaining more serious health scrutiny;
