Each travel would technically begin with a divergence of zero. Depending on what occurs during the span of the travel, a divergence may result. I believe I mentioned in a previous post that the outcome of the first two missions were zero divergence and that we theorize that the same will be said for this third mission. Although there may in fact be a minor divergence (we estimate <.001) in the end, we find this to be negligible as far as the outcome of the time which we visit.

At the same time, I understand completely what you and others have stated regarding scenarios where someone may, for example, spend an extra few seconds reading something in this very thread I have created (rather than, say, continuing on with their day) and therefore cause ‘ripples’ from that point, however could not the very same thing occur if one day you simply decided to stop and count to 10 before you walked out your front door rather than just walking right out without the pause and heading to work? Using the same understanding, you may have just changed the course of your day and life and that of the world, no? This is the reason we believe that the smallest possible divergence would in fact be negligible in the end. I hope this answers your question.

No, there have been no additional Amendments passed, however a handful of laws have been passed that pertain to some of the Amendments such as gun laws.

The population of the US is somewhere around 370 million. I am not exactly sure on the demographics, so trying to give you percentages is a bit difficult.

There is still no official language designated for the US.

Same-sex marriage is not legal, although many support it. A number of states do allow it, however I am not sure exactly how many of them do. I know that Arizona, Florida, and Illinois do for example.

I touched on gun isssues a bit earlier in this post. There have been tighter restrictions on gun ownership and therefore the tension on the subject has somewhat died down, although those who still root their beliefs to the extremes of both sides of the issue still disagree.

I am constantly changing my timeline as we all are with our decisions. But we are talking about divergence from the line YOU remember. The line you remember did not have you back here talking to us. People that seem normal during “normal” times, unleash the animals they keep at bay during law abiding times. The evil among normal people also surprised me. Average Joe takes advantage of the possibility to loot without getting punished for it if he sees the chance. Hell, nothing people do surprises me anymore.

Then there was the need to get cash, which disappeared within hours from ATMs after banks closed. The “NO credit card” signs showed up instantly. Only cash. And cash was getting very hard to find.

Many supermarkets closed their doors, fearing looters, and those that were opened quickly started to run out of basic supplies.
