The Fermi paradox and its proposed solutions

The Fermi Paradox

Why haven’t we encountered any evidence for intelligent extraterrestrial life despite numerous efforts? What if they exist but choose to avoid contact with us or are not interested in making it known that they do so far away from their home galaxy, and instead focus on expanding through space rather than communicating across vast distances?

  1. The Great Filter - This hypothesis suggests that some significant obstacle prevents the evolution or expansion beyond our planet, which may explain its rarity in comparison with other planets within habitable zones around stars :shooting_star::globe_showing_europe_africa::red_question_mark: Or we can explore alternative interpretations like advanced civilizations not needing to leave their home worlds for various reasons.

  2. The Zoo Hypothesis - This theory suggests that intelligent extraterrestrial beings might be intentionally avoiding contact with us, possibly due to a concern about causing harm or disrupting our development as they see it :thinking: Or we can consider the possibility of them being indifferent towards humanity.

Perhaps there’s no evidence for extraterrestrial life that’s proof beyond reasonable doubt. But that doesn’t mean no evidence at all, does it? I believe all the evidence that’s out there is considered up for debate. My personal belief is that ETs have been visiting Earth throughout history, and not only that, but they’ve been interacting with humans and shaping their history right from the start.

While there is no definitive evidence for extraterrestrial life that proves their existence beyond a reasonable doubt, it’s important to remember the vastness of our universe and its potential secrets :shooting_star::sparkles: . The idea of ancient civilizations or even present-day beings interacting with humans throughout history adds an exciting layer to this mystery.

I think the Fermi Paradox asks this question too soon. I mean, the observable universe is not that observable. I think Neil Degrasse explained it uniquely well when he said our galaxy is like a blueberry pancake. From one of the blueberries perspectives, you can see above, and below well, but you can’t see through the pancake itself. We can’t even see through our own galaxy very well. The first photo of a black hole wasn’t even our black hole from our galaxy. I mean if we can barely see, and can’t really explore, we don’t really have the information to say that there is or isn’t anyone out there. Considering our situation and limitations, we still call ourselves intelligent, may very well be why there could be intelligence just like ours. Limited. The Fermi paradox asks, “why we haven’t found anyone out there?” We are the size of a Planck particle; a piece of cosmic dust suspended on a beam of light. We can barely put our feet down on the moon. Not exactly the final frontier yet.

But I think we HAVE found proof. We can’t dismiss ALL photos. Clear orb photos are emerging, and of course, AI is making some of them, but is it fair to dismiss ALL photos? I’ve seen natural looking videos from phones of these orbs and lights.

The scientific community has yet to provide definitive evidence for this theory. However, the existence of ancient artifacts and myths from various cultures around the world that depict beings or objects not native to Earth could be potential clues worth exploring further? What are some specific examples you’d recommend I look into?

Maybe because no one bothers to come

@Cor, do you really believe what the mainstream is telling us, that there’s absolutely zero evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence? Despite a lack of evidence considered definitive, there have been UFO sightings throughout Earth’s history. What else could these UFOs be besides extraterrestrial spacecraft, or spacecraft from Earth made in secret by authorization of the U.S. and/or foreign governments?

They are not aliens or UFOs. They are government black projects. Simple as that. That’s why they push all of this Extraterrestrial UFO Alien nonsense. To cover it up.

Is the U.S Government just freaking out over their own black-ops in this recent video obtained?

Fake news. Where is the video? Fake news to retail people from finding the Eipstein files. Have you seen the leaked MH370 video? Do you think that’s real?

I think that’s what various media outlets are making you think. I firmly believe ET spacecraft have been visiting us throughout history, and not just modern history. ETs are likely responsible for helping to create the human race on Earth and for sharing with them advanced technology like that which was used to build wonders of the world like the Great Pyramids. Or would you rather believe that humans simply evolved from apes and that manpower and simple tools singlehandedly built structures like the Pyramids? For me, either of those would be as plausible as having a black belt in karate beat the crap out of an adult Bengal tiger. Otherwise, we can agree to disagree.

Fake News is a super-disposition.
It’s like hiding a grenade under your pillow at night.
Some people feel safe by always having it nearby just in case.
You should have watched the whole hearing. There is more than just a video.
Is not knowing kind of your thing?
To each’s own.

To Not Knowing!! :clinking_beer_mugs: :ok_hand::disguised_face::confused:

Yes of course not knowing. Show me full proof of aliens then I’ll believe.

I think they do come, but science won’t admit it. Average people have tons of evidence but it is always dismissed by science and government.

Some are. Some aren’t.

Show me full proof they don’t exist. I mean, there seems to be more evidence to the contrary. Typically, people want concrete evidence for many things, but can’t produce especially in court. Do they still convict? Well, does a bear poop in the woods? Yes, on both counts. So, what kind of evidence do you need to convict a murderer? Media evidence, like a video tape. Probably need eyewitness testimony. You might even convict with circumstantial evidence. All of those types of evidence that are admissible are present in the court of public opinion regarding UFOs. They can’t all be dismissed with “fake news” being announced. No jury in the world would let someone go because the defense attorney said fake news when showing a video in court of his client committing the act. Would they?

That’s a great observation. Yes, we had to look outside our own galaxy to actually see a black hole. Why? As you said, we can’t see through the Milky Way if we look toward the center. Too many stars, too much light, lack of technology to focus and filter the light. We highly suspected the central black hole because of the huge clustering of stars in the region. It was excellent indirect evidence confirming the theory - but is was indirect. It came down to developing technology that could focus and filter but eventually there it was at the center.

But outside the galaxy we found black holes that weren’t at the center surrounded by stars.

The Fermi Paradox originated from a seemingly casual conversation in the summer of 1950 at Los Alamos National Laboratory, involving Enrico Fermi, Edward Teller, Herbert York, and Emil Konopinski—all prominent physicists of the atomic age. During lunch, the group was discussing recent UFO reports and a New Yorker cartoon that humorously depicted flying saucers and missing garbage cans. This led to a broader conversation about the likelihood of extraterrestrial life and interstellar travel. This is the comic strip. :down_arrow:

Apparently, at the time, trash cans in New York were going missing.
