The key is the name of the song. Another perspective

Hello everyone, it’s nice to meet you! This will be my first post, hopefully an interesting one.

Let’s assume that John Titor was a real time traveler, and that Pamela Moore can be trusted. We know that John provided Pamela with a secret song that could be used to verify anyone who’d claim to be him. If my suspicion is correct, then we can narrow our search to songs released between March 24, 2001 (the date of his last message) and 2036. That’s right, I strongly believe the name was one only John, who came from the future, would know. A bulletproof password… were it not for time itself.

Of course, we still have a decade to live until the fated year arrives, but finding the needle in the haystack becomes slightly easier if we change our perspective, don’t you think?

I can agree with all of this.

If I were a time traveler using songs to prove who I am I would have given her a popular band name that already existed in 2001 but make sure the song I told her hadn’t been released yet so she knows I know the future.

@SeekerOfTheTruth You think the song maybe double sided?

Not only did it prove the future but perhaps its also a song of profetic words?

Could be a place to start.

Or maybe he wanted to let her know everything was going to be alright so he used a party song to signify victory.

You think it’s an 80s song after all?

Yes, the reasons behind the selection of the song can be several.

I’m not sure of that. John didn’t seem to be an optimistic person.

Perhaps if he could have seen the future its what he would have done.

Yes even today the Titors posting dont seem that optimistic

@SeekerOfTheTruth

the real question is, are they the same person, or… are they a different/divergent version.

Not the same beliefs “entirely” in the end.

If they were.~QS

it is always best to prepare!

Prepare, prepper… prepare.

I personally hope for the best but expect the worst, if you had future knowledge, it is best to prepare for both “all the same.” ~QS

@SeekerOfTheTruth So whats your title pick? All of this theorizing you must have a favorite.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I don’t have one yet. Written In The Stars is a Gen Z fav though.

He did not want to claim to her, or to us, that he knew the future.

Simply by existing in our worldline, he created a divergence from his original worldline. Therefore, he had no knowledge whatsoever of what would happen in our worldline after March 24, 2001.

I think this is also true, which I believe became one huge misunderstanding when predictions according to his future… did not hold true in ours. ~QS

The password was meant to prove his identity, not the fact that he knew the future.
As for the divergence, I don’t think a 2.5% difference would invalidate this discussion.

@SeekerOfTheTruth Why do you beleive the song to be the key?

What happens if we guess it correctly?
