What about money in the post WW lll era?

What about money in the post WW lll era?

I’m not trying to spam here.

I am very serious on how people will cope, after a forecasted to come, world war three.

The problem with world war three, is great population centers are taken out; then what is floated as the currency for the people to buy, trade and sell goods with?

A couple of hundred years ago, China used paper money.

As a matter of fact this is where westerners got their idea to make the dollar from, was from Marco Polo’s brought back ideas, on paper currency, floated by a central worth station.

If we experience a third world war, this system, all of it, goes.

What may come in its place, is indenturment?

Let me illustrate.

Say Darby sells widgets and I really need his brand of widgets in order to make my project work.

I go to Darby’s Machinery Place, post world war three and ask “How much for a stack of widgets and what do you want for them”?

Darby answers, “That will be five months in indenturment, living with us, where you take over water works. You work as a water works technician. You can manage the entire place, as nobody there, knows what they are really doing”?

This will take some trust, but I leave my village and become a part of Darby’s tribe and work the five months.

But what if that time comes and Darby does not want to let me go?

Right, I end up a permantley indentured water works technician, at Darby’s Village and he can’t afford to let me go.

What and how do you replace the system of money, that was there before the supposedly final conflict?

These are but some of the dangers of letting a world war happen, say if all of this Titor business was a ruse?

But the thing is, we don’t really know that this might be a ruse?

However, look what happens if you get rid of organized money and what would have to take its place, in order to make things economically work?

Oh you bet your sweet as*, you should have some comments on what I’ve just put forward here!?

The reason is, when you replace a system so grand, those who survive into the future, are going to have to look at all new ways to make their days?

The actual valueable items, staples even. trading food, blankets, other things that are needed. It will just revert to the core supply and demand. Atleast i think it will

Money is not a problem as with out it you just trade items of possession, most likely precious metals/stones would be a temporary replacement before the issure is solved. There is no need to recreate the wheel when the wheel works just fine. Creedo study your history books and you will see that money has become worthless many a time over the course of history and the countries where this has happened now are using money that is highly valued.

Spock> At times, Admiral, history does not repeat itself.

Stop most people in Los Angeles, ask them to get out of their cars, then let them continue the rest of their trip with thugs carrying clubs and a pack of wild dogs after them, if they would like to continue their trip this way?/////

Hidden police microphone, on prostitution stake out,…“We don’t have to use a condom..Its alright, if you don’t want to use one, then you don’t have to”?\\

Look at most people who live in garbage dumps today.

It’s the smell that they get use to right away. The sence of smell, just overloads and shuts down.

The secondary problem, is that you have to share this dump, with rats and vermin.

You learn to sleep lite.

The last problem, never leaves, as you have to be sorting through garbage, trash constantly, in order to always get the prime garbage.

Once you do, there may always be a contender for that trash, that you might have to fight?\\

The garbage dumps of the future, might even be a harder place than is today, as one they might be rampantly radioactive and two, there are no industries, such as Pizza Hut, or Wal-mart, to be pouring new, fresh resources in?

I don’t know what to say about this issue, other than maybe via time travel reports, the high point of some peoples day, is to be picking over someone’s long past since then stale trash.

Kind-of the top of the heap, as far as future human status goes, isn’t it?

The way ancient primordial man overed on the future man, is that he was at least a clean sort of upright walking primate.

He didn’t have the effects of horrible disease factors left in him, as a result of a sterilant war, which was based on a bogarting technology.

This future, like those once past great dinosaurs, seems having trouble making its way, much the same reason some forms of dinosaurs, needed a brain in their rear-ends, in order to perform the act of simple locomotion.

If world war 3 did happen and it affected all of the developing contries as a life long war, then what would be a more concerning matter is the lack of technological advancements. Something as simple as the latest mobile phone would not get to the production stage as there wouldn’t be a demand for it. This would result as a halt in technology advancements and could result in a decline in technology as people seek products that just do the job rather than products that have the fancy new technology extra’s.

World war 3 should not happen, what is more of a threat to human kind is global pollution. The situation is getting close to irriversable and America is not helping the matter with their plain outright ignorance. Even China is willing to listen to the problems and they are a country in early development with their motorised transportation.

Ellen sits next to Creedo on the couch, that got her started.

Creedster, you know that you didn’t offer a counterview on the topic-line on this thread?

Creedo,..I know, I didn’t, Ellen.

Ellen,..Your still mad at me, as when I started out, you thought that I was straight?

Creedo,…Well’ yay,.. Ellen, a little,…I mean no woman spreads on a couch in her blue jeans like that, unless…?

Okay, let’s say that over-proliferation of peoples, like potato chips, tossed in the air, which turn to people, over the only necessary herds of people, does occur.

Say people on the ground, are giving the finger and doing jacking-off signs, to the promoters, of extra humanity, that we don’t need.

Ellen,… then what’s the end result, Creedo?

Creedo,…A Zardoz-like situation.
Guns for everybody, but no butter, in the deal.

Ellen,…You wanted to kiss me in this deal,.. I mean in the storyline in this thread, as your still sweet on me, didn’t, arn’t you?

Creedo,…Yes I did Ellen as I thought that you were straight all of the time and well’ this hurts.

Ellen,..Creedo, I’m not asking to French kiss, now, but can you,…well’… hold me?

Creedo,…Come here.

Written by a man who clearly must have a “load” of experience living in a garbage dump.

My, but you get around to some of the more posh locales, don’t you Creeds?

Au contraire, mon frer! We are far from ignorant on this issue, in fact we are much more informed than most, which is why we reject the Kyoto protocol. Why should 2nd and 3rd world countries be given LARGER budgets to pollute than the US? What kind of incentive is that for these countries to develop, ab initio, highly efficient and non-polluting infrastructures? And why should the US take such a huge economic penalty when we have invested more $ in the GLOBAL infrastructure than any other single country?

One example: How many non-paying countries benefit from the US-funded GPS constellation? There are many more examples beyond this simple one where non-American countries reap benefits from technology that we funded the development for, that we placed into operation, and that we pay for maintenance. As if that is not enough, you want us, essentially, to pay MORE by artificially restraining our economy with measures like Kyoto.

RMT

Are you insinuating I’m ramming your girl, in her kitty, Sir?

A prozac dart, in your fanny, mighnt alieviate the feeling, that everyone is after your gold?

So whats America’s answer to global pollution then, do nothing and keep your fingers crossed? The developed nations should use their financial clout to develop the new technologys to overcome the evironmental issues then this can be passed on to the developing nations. Your European counterparts show the US and the UK up when it comes to things like solar power technology and transportation.

Honestly Rainman it’s attitudes like “why should i do anything about it he does’ent do anything” that will be the end of the planet, so we at best have a half destroyed world where there is extreme weather patterns happening frequently and at worst some of us will not have a future.

Dude,

You have obviously not kept an eye on what our laws have done to auto emission standards (by far the largest pollution contributor). In fact, it was CA that lead the way that the rest of the states adopted. Don’t hear much about “Level 3 smog alerts” in SoCal anymore do you? Yes, indeed our air has gotten CLEANER, and even with a constant addition of autos to our already crowded highways.

Stop insinuating that we are doing nothing. You need to do your homework. It is nowhere near like we are sitting on our hands. What you read is hype, mostly propagated by anti-Republicans (which might also be considered anti-economy). Their answer is everyone ELSE should cut back. But how many of the people whining are giving up all their luxuries and living in the dark?
RMT

No the way forward is definately not to cut back, this just affects the economy and results in a complete opposite to what everyone wants to achieve in the future. However there is cerrtainly a need for a global effort rather than each country doing what they think they need to do.

I feel that if they stopped messing around they could get together and design a revolutionary new way of powering cars and this could then be adopted to be used in space as a form of transport.

It seems the problem with space travel is the huge rockets and amount of fuel needed to get there in the first place. They need to look at other power sources and as we all know if there is a need they find an answer so if they took away oil they would find a replacement within months.

Please note i am not saying get rid of oil just simply stating that if it was not there then they would find an alterative,I think all this reliance on oil,is in a funny sort of way actually holding back technology for space transportation.

Before you attack me with Sail power, ION engines etc these ideas were developed by space agencies, scientists etc. I am talking about getting the big boys involved Motor sport, the Automotive industry, the governments etc.

Please note to my reply to Rainman, > Are you insinuating I’m ramming your girl, in her kitty, Sir?

A prozac dart, in your fanny, mighnt alieviate the feeling, that everyone is after your gold?

Creedo 299

There is a technical in this say that must be exposed, as this is considered a modern insult.

This situation must be transposed to Africanees, as Rainman sees me as a potential challenger.

The phrase is, in Africaneese, he is after my lands and my wimen.

This is a sector challenge, as in Rainman’s earlier statement, he elides to the say, And you been in some pretty posh places), eluding that I am coat-tailing on him.

No, this is not the issue.

Some of my line goes back to royalty, in my side of my relationship.

Why do I need what he has socially?

Hollywood might at times be of interests, however I am not after his lands and his wimen.

I respect that fact.

This is why I had to lower the counter NO, to this discourse.

What is his, is his.

In an odd way, there is an affinity.

RMT said> You don’t know this territory at all

Know it? Dude, I am creating it! But oh that’s right… you don’t accept the Qabalist viewpoint because you think you wizards are more powerful than us Qabalists. Difference is, us Qabalists know that we are continually creating what is around us, as opposed to you wizards who think you’re only in control when you cast spells. In reply to:

and what people, beings are intrested in at this time, is the history of this time

Such people would be better advised to expend energy on the creation of the universe they wish to exist in, rather than worry about the one they might have accidentally landed in.
It’s just simple science of the self-observant universe. Those who fail to recognize it will always be victims of a universe they do not realize they are in control of. Those who accept it and steer the ship themselves will forever be AT CAUSE over their universe.
RMT

Creedo points out> Rainman, if you have said altered this current timeline, then at a latter time, you should do a full disclosure on your said?

This is a protocols, that you should follow.

Since you had mentioned wizards, I can only retork, that there are two sects of wizards in this time noted. This is the older wizards non-same-aether continuum, which is not based in this human said reality and the product known as half wizards, which are human wizard extraction.

I know of no formal plans, by either sect, to alter any timelines?

Hi Ottarzar,

Now that it looks like you have dropped the “it’s all America’s fault” tone, I am more than happy to continue this discussion with you.

I agree, but by “global effort” are you intimating such an effort by the global governments? If you think about it, this would be tantamount to expecting all the companies that sell in a specific market to get together and try to agree on ways to regulate themselves. Countries are competitors just as companies are. I think we are well beyond the days where we can expect governments to be able to “fix” this. The funny thing about governments are: The bigger they get, the less they actually get done. I think such a global effort can only succeed by individual choices and efforts. (BTW, with respect to your last post, you might be interested to know that I made the personal choice to stop using power from the grid, and start generating it myself. I now produce more power with my solar roof than I consume. This is what I mean by requiring personal choices.)

Easier said than done. I am an aerospace engineer by trade, and I am even teaching a propulsion course to freshman Aero students this term. Those who don’t understand engineering, or how to design within the constraints that nature puts on us, seem to find it easy to say “why can’t they just invent something better?” There is a large schism in society between those who know how to do, and those who do not know how to do. Those who do not know how to do seem to trivialize the job of doing. Yet you do not see very many of these people trying to do it themselves, now do you?

I know, there are lots of conspiracy theories that claim we have such super-advanced technologies, but if you really think about them critically: Such stories have been around a LONG time. If we DID have such groundbreaking technologies do you really think:

a) ANY group of people would be able to keep a lid on it for THIS long if we really had it?
b) There would not be other people who would be able to “figure it out”?

History has shown in the past that “drastic” improvements in technology ONLY come about when we change what we perceive to be the “laws of physics” to include something which was once thought impossible. We first had to abandon the idea that it was impossible to travel faster than the speed of sound, and then someone developed the maths to show it was possible, and then someone did it. For a similar advancement today, we are going to need a revolution in the thought process of physics…a big one. Many theoretical physicists are working towards that, but many will denigrate the ideas of such folks by saying “the idea does not obey standard theory.” Maybe that “standard theory” is wrong, or otherwise limited? Such changes do not come about very easily. However, I am confident we are heading towards one as we come to understand dark matter, dark energy, and try to understand why the universe is actually accelerating in its expansion, where for so long we thought it was expanding at a constant rate.

Big boys? Each of the items in your list are decidedly “low tech” endeavors. These are not the types of people who are going to usher in a massive change in thought that could enable new technologies. Heck, the automotive industry is JUST NOW getting around to building ultralight vehicles! Those of us involved in flight vehicles have focused on this problem for a long time for the sheer fact that is has a HUGE impact on what we are trying to do. For an earthbound vehicle, there was little need to keep weight low, and even now, the issue of fuel economy is still not a big motivator. When Mother Nature tells you “your thingy is not going to fly until you get the weight down”, now THAT is a motivator. Necessity is the mother of invention.

This is similar to what you are saying when you say “if it was not there then they would find an alterative”. However, it is not a matter of artificially saying “pretend we don’t have the oil”. Rather, what is required (and what has always worked in the past) is when mankind REACHES higher than he has ever accomplished before. When mankind sets a seemingly unachievable goal, THAT is what breeds necessity. I can’t tell you how many technologies we enjoy today were a result of the NASA Apollo program to get man to the moon. Once we set that goal, it became NECESSARY to invent new things in order to achieve that lofty goal. This is the main reason why I am behind Bush’s Mars initiative. Just like Apollo, it sets the bar extremely high. It challenges mankind to, literally, reach for the stars, and in doing so it becomes a necessity to develop new technologies.

Selecting an “artificial” goal that still remains in our “comfort zone” just does not work, and history is replete with evidence of this. We will simply take the easy way out, because we know we can get away with it.

You’ve got to dream big before you can invent big!
