I know I may come on here seeming very ignorant, but a friend of mine sent me a John site, and I have been obsessed over this ever since. I am not yet 20, and this is VERY frightening to me. If a civil war breaks out in less than 2 years, or a world war starts in 2015, that means my life may come to an end very soon. I want to know, please, if you all think this is true, or is it just a very creative man who wanted to make people think about their existence in the world today? /ttiforum/images/graemlins/confused.gif

i know what you're going through. The only thing you can do is do what John told us we could do. One person is enough to change the entire world.
He said he can predict a horse race's winner before it starts.
However, with that information, someone could go hurt the horse and hinder the competition.
Meaning, you've got the prediction, now.. you can do something about it. I believe that was John's warning (given that he doesn't want his girlfriend to die (again?))

Do not be discomforted by the story of Titor. Rest asure that the world will be as it is in 2004-2005 and even forth in 2015. I am not a temporal sojourner, rather an observer of things, and yes there are plenty of temporal realities with a wide variety of digression from this TR, but as far as I have been able to see nothing of the sort as explained by the Titor character will take place. Certainly there will be an array of changes but nothing as horrible as a civil war within the US.
People of the forum, I have said it before and I shall say it once again. Yes we here are trying to find a suitable way for lifekind to re-discover the science of temporal manipulation, as far as I am concerned that is good, nonetheless we have to be pretty responsible of our actions for even if it is a lie about the future of things to come that very lie could cause major problems in our world and the TR. Take care with predictions, specially those that suggest scatological results. If someone has the need to feel of him/herself prophet please be a good one and instill hope in the heart of others. Yes, I am aware that some might think that if bad things are goping to happen people should be warned, I agree with that, but there are more than one way of warning without alarming. So let us all be carefull about our comments.

I'm not sure, but isn't George Bush Jr. trying to ban gay sex marriage, even in the state's where it's legal? Already your right's are being torn away, and you fail to see it. My question is this: if you are able to get back to your time exactly where you left off (or, "seconds later" from when you left).. then why have you been gone for 4 years? If, whenever you get this machine fixed, you can go back to 2036 and pick up there - then why travel to 2040?

I can't say whether John Titor is truly a timetraveler, I don't know enough about him. The only information I've seen is the propagandic bantor flying about this forum. But I can assure you with my own knowledge that we will not enter into a civil war in the near future. I am also fairly sure that any major world war will take place after the year 2018 and well into the 2020's.
By the way, I believe what creedo may have been trying to say, concerning the pig milking, is that there is so much anti and pro Titor paraphenelia on this site, that getting useful acurate information would be much like milking a pig.

I believe that there would need to be a significant people who believe John's story to prevent it from happening, and I do not see that happening. I see the next election being a bigger fiasco than 2000, and the demonstrations be bigger than they were in 2000, turning into riots, scaring the hell out of everyone involved or that witnesses it unfold on TV. I do believe that civil unrest is highly likely, civil war sometime in the future to be highly likely, but I do not believe anything is inevitable.
NOTHING is inevitable. Every prophesy has the potential to be thwarted by the mere mention of the prophesy. The book of Revelation is unlikely to come true merely because of this fact. The nuclear war that John spoke of is also unlikely to occur as he mentions for the same reason. However, we must always keep an eye on the trends and probabilities. Civil unrest seems very likely. Whether it would develop into a civil war or not is questionable, but I believe it will be considered much more probable after the next presidential election. We'll see.

If you think about everything that John or the others has said that is supposed to happen, about civil war, or our government, or world war, or natural disasters, and think about it logically, then you need not worry. Some people forget the simplest concepts of sociology and psychology. Our world is sculpted by what we believe and what we fear. It is not hard to predict anything really, especially if you make enough noise about it, or play into a persons fears or current physical/emotional state.
We used to do little experiments in Psych all the time. Make some one hungry by eating in front of them when you know it has been a while since they have eaten. Make some one thirsty by drinking in front of them if youknow they have not had a drink in a while. Right now John has made LOTS of noise and played on the greatest fear America has. War on our own soil. He appears during a time when the government is already under fire and terrorism is crushing our will. There are demonstrations that turn violent constantly, but now you look at them differently thinking that there is something wrong and maybe it could be true. Not realizing that it is just everyday life and has been happening for hundreds of years. You pay closer attention to certain news events: Murders, government scandals, cover-ups, terrorism, national debt, a large distrust in our current administration, but this stuff always happens. The reason you are paying more attention to it now is because some one said something that could actually happen. America has been in a civil war before because of disagreements in how the country was run, why couldnt it happen again?
Its like the Oracle said in The Matrix "what's really going to bake your noodle is, would you have knocked it over if I hadnt have said anything."
If some one is a time traveler, then we would not know about it. Do not buy into that theory of multiple temporal realities. We have no proof of that. Everything we have now our theories.
If there were time travelers going through multiple realities, it would still be unethical for them to make themselves known to tell us about a future that might not ever happen. Also, how would a person know which reality they are in? How would they get back to their own time? The questions and theories are endless. Also, if there are endless "temporal realities" why study a different one, especially since the things that happen in this one is different from the things that happen in the "time travelors" world.
The simplest thing to do is just to look at the facts presented to you logically. 30+ years from now, they have time travel. People are being sent back to do a history report. So either there is no one over the age of 30 in 2030whatever, and every book, computer, internet site, technological advancement, song, story, theory, school, scientist, archeologist, poem, writing, hospital record, CD player, CD, Tape, VCR, DVD, (any form of recordable media) has been destroyed.

Although he did come along before the 9/11 terrorism, and before Bush Jr., if he was from the future he may have already prevented some things from his supposed worldline from happening. Given how rare CJD is there is a relatively large amount of research being done on it, and its causes are close to being nailed down. As far as civil war goes I see it as dependant on the next election. There were a LOT of demonstrations when John was posting in 2000-1, and if things are any uglier next time they could turn violent, especially if Bush is re-elected. He has relyed on the nation's stupidity, ignorance, and blind faith to get away with 9/11 (he WAS responsible http://www.infowars.com ) and attacking Iraq without legal justification by false pretense (WMD never found). Not only could his re-election cause a serious problem, but the quantity of people trying to wake up the world to his atrocities could cause WWIII sooner than in John's worldline. Hopefully people wake up and elect a president who is also humanitarian.
