The Man from Earth: Holocene is a science fiction drama film directed by Richard Schenkman and written by Schenkman and Emerson Bixby based on characters created by Bixby's father, science fiction writer Jerome Bixby. It is a follow-up to The Man from Earth (2007). David Lee Smith reprises his role as the original film's protagonist, "John Oldman," albeit under a different name. The film's marketing was notable for utilizing a wide range of both conventional and "pirate" channels to maximize visibility and distribution.
