I just want to say for the record that I not interested in carrying conversations with people who say, "I know all about ______, but I'll let everyone else figure it out." Malarkey.

Sometimes I will talk to my five year old daughter, and I will ask, "do you know what _____means?" To which she will coyly reply, "well yes, but I'm not going to tell YOU what it means! What do you think it means?" Do you know why she does that?


Bc she doesn't have a clue what I'm talking about and she 1. Is embarrassed and 2. Doesn't want everyone to know she doesn't have the slightest clue.

There are huge sections of this conversation that are identical to my daughters response.


I am utterly convinced by looking at a select few of the conversation participant's posts, both on this site and numerous others, that there are a few people on these sites that are simply DESPERATE to be a part of the john titor story. They shove themselves into the storyline pretending to be "experts" and make vague comments everywhere as though they have some secret inside loop.

As a result of this desperation these people are willing to blindly believe any "evidence" and ignore common sense. Not that it bothers me. Hey, if you want to ignore facts and evidence go right ahead.


But my question is: if you clearly don't wNt to participate in a constructive conversation then why be here at all? Doesn't that just make you a troll?

Not trying to "police" the site. But time is precious, so don't waste other peoples.

Lol, according to that article, things are not looking good at all. However I should point out that the author of that article, Mr P Farrell predicted a market crash in 2011; never happened.

Mr Farrell predicted in 2010 that DOW would be below 7000; it went up instead.

But returning to the B. Titor notes, he states that there will be a crash in Q1 of 2014. Only 13 more days left before the end of Q1.

It's always nice to have someone link the evidence to their point in their rebuttal. I appreciate the time it saves me fact checking, so thank you.

I don't know what to make of it all. Over here in the UK we are told that the economy is now growing and on the rise (and is now actually growing at its fastest rate since 2007). It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Anyway, I digress. As for this Titor saga, I have always found it tiresome and not sure why I participated in this relatively recent thread. The fact that Ren1999 aka JohnTitor 177456 aka Anonymous Coward User ID: 21512392 Japan aka multiple other GLP profile names is participating in the convo does not help. It is telling how the older members in this forum rarely engage with John Thomas.

for those that really want to know the truth, listen to darby. he does all but tell the name(s). when you find out the truth, its a huge letdown. i devoted 1000's of hours on the titor story, all logged on this site. it was all for money, and a nice little experiment.

Yes, I agree. Darby et al, debunked the original "time travel_0/john titor" postings from 2000-2001. The add-ons to the "story" and the corruption and embelishment of the "myth" has been unbelievable. And to think that out of a global population of approx 7 Billion people, hardly anybody has heard of Titor.

Yes, none of the Titor believers seem to realize that the only acceptable field that could do that to light would be gravity. At least that is what mainstream science tells us. But there is no shield against gravity. Anything in such close proximity to such light bending phenomena would also be affected.

But my latest find does suggest that gravity may not bend light at all. Edward Dowdye presents an alternate explanation for why light appears to bend around our sun. He claims it is due to the presence of the suns plasma atmosphere. Similar to the way our atmosphere bends and lenses the light from either the sun or the moon when each body is close to the horizon. That explanation actually makes more sense. And Edward Dowdye does provide astronomical observations that support his claim. Of course if gravity doesn't bend light, then obviously Titor didn't know that. Since he did claim that it was the gravitational distortion from his time machine that was causing the light to bend. You would think that someone from the future would have a more accurate understanding of physics.

You've got to be kidding. How much of your hard-earned $ are you willing to wager on that scenario? Because I will go "all in" that Russia is not stupid enough to throw any nukes at anybody. You have to understand Putin and the state of the Russian armed forces. He clearly does not want a fighting war, and he is clearly showing himself to be a much more studious tactician than Obama and his clowns in that regard. Did you see what he did in Syria? Putin, of all people, came out looking like the adult, and the peacemaker. Meanwhile, all Obama did was reinforce to our allies that he is all talk and no go. And that has pissed off BOTH the Saudis AND Israel at the same time. Now think about THAT for a second!

As I always suggest, one needs to keep their eyes on the things going on around the world that are NOT being hype-reported by the media. Putin is doing something overt in Ukraine and Obama is playing into his hands because he does not want the media reporting on what he is doing with his other hand. Have you been keeping your eye on Venezuela? If not, you should for two reasons: (1) The socialist model is in SERIOUS trouble there (it always has failed whenever it has been tried, just a matter of time), and (2) There is a LOT of oil there. 'Nuff said.
