Fermi Telescope Finds Giant Structure in our Galaxy

So, NASA found what they call a "structure" or bubbles in the Milky Way. Could these be other universes? They are really too far for us to reach, but if we could, we should try to enter them and see what happens. They say these contain thousands of galaxies, which is why I wonder if we are accessing other universes or even other timelines for that matter. I think it is amazing that we can even detect these things.
Scientists speculate that these formations may be a trace of the "eruption" of a supermassive black hole.
How would a black hole erupt? What would be the cause and is it possible considering the gravitational collapse is the strongest known to man?  What could be so strong that a black hole would lose this gravitational pull?  Very curious.
