If it were not for trial and error the first airplane would not of been invented. Because of trial and error many inventions came into being in the past. When the light bulb was invented hundreds of test were conducted by trail and error to find the best material for the light bulb. Sure calculations may cut research time and save money but when all else fails its good ol trial and error that wins the day. And even with calculations trial and error still prevail. Look at the space shuttle. It was well designed but only trial and error exposed its flaws that calculations failed to correct. People died but the shuttle is safer because of it. After all the calculations are done only the design that withstands trial and error and its flaws corrected after trial and error wins the day. Ask the USA. Many missles blew up and are still blowing up or not hitting their targets (Missle defense sheild.) but through trial and error these flaws are being found and corrected. Calculations did not catch this flaws. People did not catch these flaws. Trial and error caught these flaws. Well, enough said.
