So many of the arguments on this forum are riddled with logical fallacies.....that I thought it worth providing the following for reference purposes. Just about every type of logical fallacy there is :

Logic is a tool, used to describe reality :D

How well does logic correspond to actual physical reality?

Is reality exactly logical?

Logic is a tool of language, specifically of ' if.....then ' type statements. It can well impinge on 'reality', though one will never get a theory of everything just by logic, but where logic does play a role is in that quite human concept called 'truth'.

To my mind, logic is to language what maths is to numbers.
