Tiny black hole created by scientists.

I don't know why this hasn't been posted here on a time travel message board before but here goes. A team led by Lene Hau of Harvard University has created the first artificial black hole by mimicking the death of a star. I think in the future, this will lead to wormholes and time travel. Which explains the scare quotes around the term "black hole" in the above article and in the original PRL paper.

From the original Physical Review Letters paper:

The tube therefore acts as a ‘‘black
hole’’, capturing those incoming atoms that have impact
parameter below a critical value, bc ¼ Lc=mv, that scales
linearly with the applied voltage V(NT) and inversely with
the launch velocity v.
