Alleged human-caused global warming disputed

Let’s debunk the hoax that humans are causing the entire planet to heat up. My statements are not conclusive, so please add to this.

Also, I am not denying that Earth is warming. I am debating the cause.

Humans only occupy 10% of the planet, yet people feel we have the ability to change the temp of a huge planet

Climate changes every 100,000 years, so the earth is warming up all by herself. In fact, we are still in the last ice age, hence the warming. It is ending.

Climate change is partially the result of Earth’s orbit

We cannot change the natural course of the earth. If Bill Gates’ idea of causing a dust cloud was implemented, he could kill off many species of plants and animals. Don’t play God with mother Earth.

As you see, this makes us VERY MUCH INTO SCIENCE. IMHO, the people that claim we’re going to die in 12 years have not done an ounce of studying. Humans need to adapt. That’s how we survive. Evolution will take care of it as well as our “science” and technology – air conditioning, etc.

I came across some information on CO2 emissions that totally debunks the political narrative that mankind is the cause of the steadily increasing amount of CO2 being released into the atmosphere. Just one wildfire burning out of control releases more CO2 than all the cars in the US for an entire year. There are thousands of wildfires that burn out of control all across the planet every year. So the CO2 emitted by cars is insignificant. Not even making a dent in the amount pouring into the atmosphere. It’s just a natural part of the dynamics of the earth. You might say we are the ones causing the wildfires. I disagree because of the natural causes that start the wildfires. Static electricity occurs naturally in very low humidity. A deer running through the forest can cause sparking as its fur rubs against the brush. Lightning causes wildfires. And in a low humidity and high windy conditions, tree branches rubbing together through friction can produce embers causing wildfires. Of course our political leaders would have you believe that all the wildfires are started by man. Probably some are. But natural causes would be the dominant factor.

It would really help if these politicians were educated so they could understand the whole picture. The narrative that CO2 being a greenhouse gas is going to cause catastrophic heating of the atmosphere is pure bullshit. There is no greenhouse surrounding the earth. That one fact debunks the whole CO2 narrative.

The clearest evidence that global warming is real comes from direct measurement, not models or predictions. Independent agencies—NASA, NOAA, the UK Met Office, and Japan’s Meteorological Agency—have tracked global surface temperatures for over a century using separate methods and instruments, and they all show the same trend: the planet has warmed significantly, with the last decade the hottest in the instrumental record. Satellites add a second, independent confirmation, detecting less heat escaping to space in exactly the wavelengths greenhouse gases absorb—a direct physical signature of the mechanism, not just the trend.

The warming shows up just as clearly beyond air temperature. The oceans absorb more than 90% of the extra heat trapped by the atmosphere, and a global network of thousands of Argo floats has tracked that heat accumulating for decades. Sea levels are rising, driven by both warming water expanding and ice melting faster in Greenland, Antarctica, and mountain glaciers worldwide. Arctic sea ice is shrinking in both area and thickness. These are different systems, measured by different instruments and different scientific teams, yet they all point the same direction—which is what makes the case hard to dismiss as an artifact of any single method or dataset.

Ecosystems offer a further, corroborating line of evidence: plants are blooming earlier, animals are shifting their migration timing, and marine species are moving toward cooler waters as their habitats shift. On their own these biological changes are harder to isolate from other pressures like land-use change, but alongside the physical record they fit the same pattern. Taken together—thermometers, satellites, ocean sensors, ice and sea-level records, and ecological shifts—the evidence converges on one conclusion: the planet is warming. Separate research into the physics of carbon dioxide, the chemical fingerprint of fossil-fuel emissions, and the pattern of warming near the surface alongside cooling higher in the atmosphere is what points to human activity as the primary driver.

I honestly think it is sun related, I am not saying we have no effect, but I am certain the sun is not the same as it was back when I was a just a weee squirt still.

There was video’s of a guy who farmed sunflowers his whole life & they are not behaving like they use to, days they face away from the sun, on days particularly the sun is white.

I have also noticed a particular thing happening since I have noticed how unusually sharp hot the sun is, tree leaves & plants do not die, they turn pure white! “at first”

The sun feels like it is stinging my skin some days when I have barely been in it at all for more than a few minutes, this is when I noticed the plants leaves turning white that are not shaded by something higher up, which I can not see the leaves on as well.

Like the chlorophyll in them is being burned out, almost like the sun is form of chloroform solvent on the plant instead of making them healthy it is killing them, I then find the same leaves died white & completely dead a week or two later.

Tell me how normal this is.

I truly believe it is becasue someone/thing is sucking elements out of the sun & it is having an adverse reaction to the effects of these elements they are extracting.

I do not know why the extracting is happening, but clearly the sun holds elements in a way it is hard to reproduce on earth in such abundant amounts & it is being bled to our planets suffering.

True story bro. :clinking_glasses:~QS

Bonus note: I believe I mentioned this before somewhen on here, but I was working for a wood company, & the sun was having an eclipse that day, I didn’t know it, but I looked up to find it as it eclipsed & burnt my eyes “left spots i still have slight vision impermeant becasue of”

I have extreme sensitivity to xenon headlights cars/trucks started using around the same time as the solar eclipse “May 10, 1994” or at least that is when it became a real problem for me. The more popluer they became the harder it was to drive for a few years at night, my eyes would stream tears & i would have to pull over & wait till they passed by, & the ones that were misaligned toward my eyes, I was forced to swerve off the road as soon as they came into my line of sight. “i got better at watching out for them” but sometimes people would still hit there brights at the exact wrong time & just blind me"

I have noticed that the sun gives this same light that is particularly painful to my eyes on the same day the sun hurts my skin as well.

The sun is not the same as it use to be back then.

Honestly I think they have the whole picture & pay to create these wildfires intentionally.
It moves people off land they want & it’s cheaper then clear cutting, plus they get the kick~backs for state emergencies? “if I am correct”

Since the advent of industrialization beginning in the 19th century the greenhouse effect has been increasing.

I think that if manmade global warming or climate change were real, and the temperature were consistently rising since the 19th century, you’d see record-breaking high temperatures all over the earth by now. And I’m pretty sure it’s largely a scam because the environmentalists only come down on the U.S. and the industrialized countries of Europe rather than countries like China and India. No offense intended to anyone, but I believe you’d have to be pretty darn brainwashed to think it is that real, and absolutely nothing will convince me otherwise, because I’ve seen sources that corroborate my claim.

And I’ll leave it at that.

When I was a child, ski resorts were very popular. It was certainly cooler, but perhaps not for the reasons you may think. Sulfur dioxide reflects sunlight and cools the planet. Initially sulfur emissions were enforced on coal plants, and in 2020 (mysteriously during the COVID lockdowns) sulfur emissions were removed from diesel bunkering fuel for shipping. Is it really a mystery that ocean temperatures are suddenly heating up if you stop shading them with sulfur dioxide emissions? Not exactly rocket science. Increased sunlight increases solar panel output. It also burns the skin of whites. Reducing sulfur emissions regulations and shading the atmosphere once again is entirely possible if you have the will to do so. Do you have the will to do so?

Even if global warming is real the world only has a limited number of resources. In 300 years people are going to be like what’s oil?

If we are causing global warming to happen it will self correct after humanity begins to run out of the resources responsible for making global warming a thing. Such as oil and coal

Make no mistake about it the world will eventually run out of each and every resource it has. When the great resource apocalypse happens if we dont shuttle in resources from the past to the future there in all likely hood won’t be a future.

You think war is bad just imagine trying to have to survive mother nature with only the resources you were born with

WASHINGTON — Earth cooked to its hottest month on record in August, blowing far past a key climate threshold, due to the dangerous double whammy of human-caused climate change and a supersized El Nino, according to the European climate service Copernicus.

A woman walks in the shade in downtown Houston, Texas in late July 30 during a regional heat wave.

August’s sizzle also helped push the globe and the United States to swelter through the hottest Northern Hemisphere summer scientists have measured.

The ability of carbon dioxide (CO₂) to absorb and re-emit heat energy was demonstrated in the mid-19th century through laboratory experiments and later verified through atmospheric measurements and satellite spectrographic observations.

Key Experiments and Discoveries

  • Eunice Foote’s Glass Cylinder Experiment (1856) Foote filled glass cylinders with different gas mixtures—including common air, moist air, and pure carbon dioxide—and placed thermometers inside before exposing them to sunlight. She recorded that the cylinder containing CO₂ heated up significantly faster and stayed warm much longer than the others. She concluded that an atmosphere rich in CO₂ would result in a warmer Earth.

  • John Tyndall’s Ratio Spectrophotometer (1859) Tyndall isolate long-wave thermal radiation (infrared heat) from visible light using a custom-built brass tube sealed with rock-salt windows (which allow infrared to pass through without blocking it). By passing infrared radiation through various gases and measuring the transmitted heat at the far end using a thermopile connected to a sensitive galvanometer, he proved that while nitrogen and oxygen are nearly transparent to infrared heat, carbon dioxide acts as a strong thermal absorber.

  • Svante Arrhenius’s Radiative Balance Model (1896) Using empirical infrared absorption data collected by Samuel Pierpont Langley from observations of the moon’s thermal radiation passing through Earth’s atmosphere, Arrhenius calculated the first quantitative energy balance models. He mathematically showed that changing atmospheric CO₂ concentration directly alters the amount of heat energy retained by the atmosphere.

  • Modern Space-Based Infrared Spectroscopy (1970s–Present) Satellite missions (such as NASA’s Nimbus 4 starting in 1970 and modern satellites like Aqua and the Orbiting Carbon Observatory) measure outgoing longwave radiation from the top of the atmosphere down to space. High-resolution infrared spectrometers directly detect sharp absorption dips corresponding precisely to the vibrational energy resonance bands of carbon dioxide molecules (primarily around the 15-micrometer wavelength range), providing direct empirical observation of heat trapping on a planetary scale.

Earth can experience a true runaway greenhouse effect, but current anthropogenic climate change will not trigger a full Venus-style collapse. Human greenhouse gas emissions are capable of causing severe global warming and triggering a “moist greenhouse” state, but driving the oceans to boil away requires an increase in solar luminosity that is still hundreds of millions of years in the future.

Anthropogenic Limits vs. Natural Requirements

  • Human Fossil Fuel Reserves: Burning all available fossil fuel reserves would raise CO₂ levels to around 1,500–3,000 ppm. While this would cause catastrophic warming (raising global temperatures by 8–12°C or more), climate models indicate it is insufficient to cross the Komabayashi–Ingersoll limit required to boil the oceans.

  • The “Moist Greenhouse” Intermediate State: Before a full runaway greenhouse occurs, Earth could enter a “moist greenhouse” state. In this scenario, surface temperatures exceed 40–50°C, causing the tropopause to weaken. Water vapor shifts into the stratosphere, where solar UV radiation breaks H₂O molecules apart, causing slow, irreversible water loss into space over millions of years.

Triggers Required for a Venus-Style Collapse

To push Earth past the radiative ceiling into a true runaway state where the oceans rapidly evaporate, specific extreme triggers are required:

  1. Solar Luminosity Increase (Guaranteed Future Trigger): The Sun is gradually brightening by roughly 10% every billion years as it fuses hydrogen in its core. In about 1.0 to 1.5 billion years, solar irradiance will reach a critical threshold (roughly 1,400–1,500 W/m²), forcing Earth’s oceans to boil and initiating a runaway greenhouse state identical to Venus’s past.

  2. Massive Volcanic Outgassing Events: An unprecedented surge in volcanic activity—far exceeding historical Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs)—that rapidly injects vast quantities of CO₂ and water vapor into the atmosphere while destroying the carbon silicate weathering sink could theoretically destabilize the climate.

  3. Orbital Perturbations: If Earth’s orbit were nudged significantly closer to the Sun (moving inside the conservative inner boundary of the circumstellar habitable zone at roughly 0.95 AU), the increased stellar radiation would trigger a runaway state.

Let me just say that people don’t realize how serious this is. They see the weather today, but there’s a built-in time delay. 90% of the heat goes in the ocean, of which half of that heat, 40% or so, is in the deep ocean. And it takes 50 – 100 years to come to new thermal equilibrium. It’s the surface of the ocean and that determines the weather. And so there’s a built in getting worse factor that will have a 50 – 100 year delay from what we’ve already done, which is very scary because uh in the last decade it’s it’s not been good news.
