C200 Time Displacement Units are portable time machines, designed by General Electric for use off-timeline. Their enhanced autonomy and range made them ideal for the exploration of the 4th and 5th dimensions.

After a series of violent rebellions committed by their users, their manufacture became prohibited and General Electric went bankrupt.

The collapse of ecosystems in the mid-2030s and the impending 2038 Unix operating system bug led to the rise of industrialist Cypher Chronarch, whose mastery of legacy computing averted society’s ongoing downfall.

Chronarch acquired the remains of General Electric and created the C204, a new line of Time Displacement Units.

The one who hunts them still goes by the name...John Titor.
