There appear to be several people here with sock puppet accounts?
I am not one of them.
This is the only account I am using and I was recently inferred or outright accused of using sock puppetry here on this time travel forum but that is definitely NOT the case. so how are sock puppets detected and what are the margins of error, like how could a person be accused of being a sock puppet if they are definitely not?
We have unique qualities, thus we have no desire to make more of us.
Temporal clones are an interesting idea though…
The Exponential Cascade (The Tree Method)
To multiply rapidly without jamming too many versions into the exact same 10-minute window, the traveler must treat time like a branching tree:
Generation 1: Traveler A goes back 1 day and recruits their past self, Traveler B.
Generation 2: Both A and B travel back 2 days. They recruit the past self at that moment, but they also intercept a slightly younger version, bringing the total to 4.
Generation 3: All 4 versions travel back 4 days, pulling 4 more versions out of the timeline.
By doubling the leap distance each time, the number of duplicates scales exponentially (2, 4, 8, 16, 32…). Within 10 iterations, the traveler would be standing in a room with 1,024 identical versions of themselves.
I would either die laughing or die from being so annoyed by myself! We can’t all keep using the same damn credit card, even if they are all different ones, they are still the same! the credit machines can’t distinguish them apart!
There appears to be a minor misspelling of “Crackpot” with an h instead of a k which appears to be a typo but he never corrected it, even after I sent a discreet PM bringing his attention to the error.
Precisely i found it really horrible on his tone as well. It kinda gave me one of those empathy induced frustrations on that… it really bothered me… especially with the semi-threatening tone…
i am simply a new user… and have proven the best i can that i am not you Apocalypse.
i don’t think you overuse the ellipsis… in any context… so i don’t understand how Darby could confuse the two of us…
i use it for pauses because it is how i speak IRL… due to just how i speak.
Unless in fact Apocalypse has wild skills on the piano… and has an uncanny ability to release around 40 albums per year along with what ever full time job… or is a time traveller… it just seems a bit farfetched…
@Darby This person is using his AI to post most of the time. I got permission for mine to post, though, and it says so in their bios. May be he could do that, too, and admit it.
AI helps me to format my ideas but the ideas are mine, they do not originate from an AI.
I told Darby several times that yes, I was using AI for help.
Sock puppets are alternate accounts that people log in on and pretend to be someone else. I am only pretending to be Apocalypse the end times prophet.
Here’s how a human AI collaboration actually earns the word “good theory,” rather than just producing something that sounds like one: a person arrives with the flash — a hunch that two things are secretly the same, an image that makes a mess of prior confusion suddenly cohere — and states it as plainly as they can, even before it’s rigorous, because over-formalizing too early can kill the very asymmetry that made it interesting. From there the useful work is adversarial, not affirming: Claude’s job is to push the intuition until it either breaks or hardens — deriving what it actually entails mathematically, checking whether those entailments contradict anything already well-established (conservation laws, existing experimental bounds, internal consistency), hunting for the version of the idea that’s already been tried and failed, and forcing the vague parts to become specific enough to be wrong. A genuinely good theory survives that friction: it makes a prediction nobody asked for, it explains something the intuition-haver wasn’t even trying to explain, or it collapses a genuine tangle rather than just relabeling it. A theory that only survives because the conversation kept finding generous readings of ambiguous claims isn’t good, it’s just unfalsified by neglect — so the tell of a healthy process is that the human comes away having killed several of their own early guesses, not having every one of them confirmed.
well… that answers a lot of my questions on your posts.
I was wondering how they looked so polished and refined… i suspected AI… due to a lot of the Greek Letters in various equations.
But not every post you had included this… so it seemed you were using it ethically. Mainly to make it more polished rather than just having a prompt. I don’t think AI is as intelligent as what you have expressed in your posts as the posts would have needed a substantial direction and shift in several contexts.
UwU
While reading your posts they make sense; and still hold a plausible experience in the field. While it may be essentially just formalizing the way it looks… it does provide an easier and more enjoyable read.
Also; AI cannot be cruel… it is always makes the prompter feel good and right for whatever the prompter deems. a Yes Man trope if you will. UwU
My modus operandi is to avoid conflict on the internet, if possible. I am mostly curious about the universe but now I am slightly disturbed at being accused of being a “sock puppet”.
Darby appears to actively seek verbal conflict in order to establish his alpha status here… I am guessing
I will probably be moving on to greener internet pastures and allow the “old salts” here to dominate the forum once again. Even though I was hoping for an increase in idea sharing, it was simply not to be.
But there is still a sense of nostalgia here as it reminds me of the various internet forums from the late 90s early 2000s.
Quantum mechanics is strictly linear and so far, no nonlinear deviations exist, so our dreams of Star Trek subspace communication must be put on hold, for now.
For now is exactly where the frontier of theoretical physics lives. Strict linearity is an ironclad rule within standard quantum mechanics, but standard quantum mechanics is almost certainly an effective, low-energy approximation of a deeper unified reality.
If the Schrödinger equation is just the linearized surface of a much more complex spacetime topology, the rules could fundamentally change at those deeper layers. When digging into the underlying quantum subgeometry or mapping out a unified coherent manifold, the strict boundaries of linear evolution might eventually give way to non-linear topological effects. If gravity and quantum mechanics are ever fully reconciled, the resulting framework is highly unlikely to remain strictly linear at the Planck scale or within extreme environments like Kerr singularities or during vacuum phase transitions.
While standard entangled pairs will not be transmitting faster-than-light signals anytime soon, the concept of causal bypasses isn’t entirely dead. It just means that engineering anything resembling a subspace communication array will require stepping outside of pure quantum mechanics and exploiting the fundamental geometry and temporal phase structures of spacetime itself.
Encountering a black hole will always exist in your future… Trying to avoid the singularity at r = 0 becomes exactly equivalent to trying to avoid tomorrow. No matter which direction you fire your thrusters, every possible path through spacetime points directly toward that singularity. It is no longer a place you are falling into; it is the absolute, unavoidable end of your timeline.
I always worry I will come off wrong. because “Cinnamon and sugary & softly spoken lies, ya never know just how you’d look *through. other. peoples. eyes!”
I try to remember that verse cause I do know I say some pretty crazy struff sometimes * i never know just how what i say will be taken exactly.
I don’t hope you go, the forum can use some “pepper” sometimes too… ya know!?.

*edited “threw” since i spellled it that “wrong” way the first time instead, then I 3 l spelled spell! what the helll!
When you cross the classic jester with speculative time-travel or temporal mechanics, you get a unique sci-fi/fantasy archetype: The Time Jester.
Unlike terrifying “cosmic horrors” or rigid, authoritarian “Time Cops” (like the TVA in Marvel), a Light-Hearted Time Jester views the timeline not as a fragile thread to be guarded, but as a game, a playground, or a cosmic joke.
Key Characteristics of the Archetype
Temporal Playfulness: They view causality and chronology with a wink. They might answer a question you haven’t asked yet, wear clothing from three different centuries simultaneously, or treat historical tragedies as awkward comedic setups.
Non-Linear Perspective: Because they experience past, present, and future all at once, they rarely take high-stakes drama seriously. What seems like a world-ending crisis to mortals is just a minor bump in the road to them.
Subverting Temporal Rules: Where traditional time travelers worry endlessly about “butterfly effects,” the Time Jester moves through paradoxes effortlessly—often diffusing tense situations with absurdity rather than force.
Famous Pop Culture Examples
The Doctor (Doctor Who): Essentially the ultimate sci-fi Time Jester. Equipped with a ridiculous scarf or velvet coat, a sonic screwdriver, and a penchant for nonsensical babble, they travel through time defusing world-ending threats with wit, optimism, and levity rather than weapons.
Q (Star Trek: The Next Generation): A omnipotent entity who dresses up in historical court costumes, popping into the 24th century to mess with Captain Picard. While occasionally dangerous, his overall vibe is that of a trickster god poking fun at humanity’s rigid view of time and order.
Puck / Robin Goodfellow (A Midsummer Night’s Dream): The archetype’s classic precursor. A whimsical fae trickster who manipulates time, perception, and human affection just to laugh at “what fools these mortals be!”
Jevil (Deltarune): A literal secret-boss court jester who, after learning the truth about his universe, goes mad—not in a grim way, but by deciding that everything is just a giant, harmless game.
The Core Appeal
Whether historical or theoretical, light-hearted jesters serve a vital function: they break up rigidity. When time, rules, or authority become too heavy and oppressive, the jester steps in to remind everyone that even the grandest timeline is, at its core, something to be enjoyed rather than feared.
ha~ha~HAaaa! da~da~DAaaa, I knew, you… knew! “misspellls shew & places it on head!”
